The Fresh A.I.R. scholarships of the Stiftung Berliner Leben offer art and cultural practitioners the time, space and resources to devote themselves to an artistic project. Up to 13 European artists are invited to the artist‘ residencies in Berlin Schöneberg for 12 months.

The 8th year of Fresh A.I.R. is running under the title »LINGUISTIC XPEDITION«. It refers to the traditions of the artistic-literary avant-garde that dealt experimentally with language, such as Italian Futurism or multinational Dadaism. This also includes subsequent interdisciplinary and cultural-critical movements such as French Lettrism or Russian Transfurism.

The current call is for the 8th year starting in January 2023 and ending in December 2023. Application deadline is Thursday, 31st March 2022.
